Overview: Multifactored Psychoeducational Assessment is designed to answer the following questions using batteries of testing tools: Does the client have a learning disability(ies)? Mental retardation? Attentional problems? What are the client’s academic and cognitive abilities, strengths, and weaknesses? What are appropriate educational recommendations? Accommodations and/or modifications?
Objectives:
The participants will gain understanding of the following:
- Assessment process and the use of standardized and non-standardized tools;
- Components of a good Multifactored Psychoeducational Assessment;
- Ethical practices in the administration of a Multifactored Psychoeducational Assessment
- Administer some simple and basic tests, including a brief IQ tests;
- How to read, understand, and used psychoeducational reports;
- What interventions and supportive techniques work in the classroom;
- Kinds of tests used in a psychoeducational assessment;
- Components of a good Multifactored Psychoeducational Assessment.
