OBJECTIVES
At the end of the two (2) day seminar-workshops, the participants will:
- There are many factors that affect a student’s performance in school. Low grades or disruptive behavior can be the visible signs of hidden challenges;
- Develop knowledge about the rights of the child with special needs in an inclusive education program;
- A Multifactored Psychoeducational Assessment identifies areas of strength and weakness in a student’s learning profile, and provides a deeper understanding of their abilities;
- It can also identify Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Developmental Disabilities, reading (dyslexia), writing (dysgraphia) and mathematic (dyscalculia) challenges and other mental health issues (depression or anxiety) that can interfere with learning;
- Gain understanding in the relevance of comprehensive assessment process to be translated into SMART IEP;
- This workshop will focus on the administration of a Multifactored Psychoeducational Assessment & Writing a S.M.A.R.T. Individualized Education Plan (I.E.P.)
